Our Water Master – WG-12S UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment is a miniature two pin lamp bulb that gives you a worry-free performance for an entire year. The 38 watts germicidal UV bulb has a lamp length of 31.3 inches and an average lifespan of 10,000 hours. This method of water treatment requires no handling of chemicals and does not need any specialized storage. There is no change in odor, taste and pH or the chemistry of water, which is why this is a preferred method of treatment from chemicals and their byproducts. It is established that UV light at the wavelength of 254nm can kill harmful microorganisms such as E.coli, giardia and cryptosporidium that can cause harm.

The light bulb is compatible with germicidal OEM air, and water disinfection filter, UV sanitizer and ultraviolet purifiers. The short wavelengths of the germicidal light bulbs emit ultraviolet rays that enable thorough disinfection. This replacement germicidal bulb has a miniature 2 pin (bi-pin) base that is used for water purification.           This ultraviolet purification lamp is instant starting and utilizes a coil filament, which operates hot. The UV lamp life is governed by the life of the electrodes and is affected by the frequency of starting.
