The Wedeco Ideal Horizons – IV-8 UV Light Bulb For Germicidal Water Treatment has a lamp length of 11.3 inches and a two pin on both ends base. The UV-C light emitted by this lamp helps in inactivating and killing bacteria, molds and virus present in water. With a miniature two pin on a single base, the high quality lamp bulb has a low mercury dosage to meet the demands of the environment.

When water passes through the UV water treatment system, the microorganisms present in water are exposed to the light and their genetics is disrupted, thus inhibiting their ability to reproduce. This method destroys 99.9% harmful organisms in the water and does not alter the pH, taste or chemistry of water in the process.
